You, my friend, are on the cusp of a breakthrough — some kind of major shift in your life. Maybe it’s a book you want to write, a business you want to start, or a change you want to make. Towards that end you will need to tap into a deeper level of creativity than you have ever accessed before — the part of you where brilliance, genius and wisdom resides. What follows are 25 time-tested ways to accomplish this goal. (PS: You don’t need all 25. Even ONE will make a profound difference in your life.)

1. Ask yourself WHY you want to become more creative: If you don’t know the answer to this question, the rest of the guidelines that follow will be nothing more than fairy dust. What’s in it for you? Why make the effort to become more creative?

2. Realize you already ARE creative: Most of us are subject to the myth that only some people are creative. Writers, artists, musicians, and filmmakers get lots of points for being creative, as opposed to accountants, tax auditors, and engineers. Hey folks, everyone is creative.
