And when I say “free,” I mean free — as in there’s no charge for it
Here’s a little known fact: the average book of poetry sells 50–250 copies. That’s it — and mostly to family and friends. Ouch!
You might say that poetry is a niche market — a very niche market – a Nietzche-like niche market, as in not for everyone.

Mention the word “poetry” and most people cringe, regressing to their junior year of high school and the sinking feeling of being forced to read Shakespeare’s sonnets on the weekend just when their hormones are kicking in.
No wonder poetry has such a bad rap.
The Good News?
