Arrive by Already Being There

A poem about the ultimate pilgrimage

Arrive by already being there,
go nowhere and reach your destination.

Don’t travel light, be light,
and if anyone asks you for directions,
don’t think about it too long,
what you say doesn’t matter all that much.

In the end, your words will never take anyone anywhere,
even if you think you know the way.

Perhaps this is why, just a few minutes ago,
I decided to unburden myself of everything,
even the decision to unburden myself of everything,
if you catch my drift.

Look!
Over there!
Off in the distance!
There is a small boat on the river
and white of clouds in the sky!
