“FREE” – The Introduction to My New Collection of Poetry

To be released on Valentine’s Day — and I am giving it away

Welcome to Free — my fifth collection of poetry. I’m glad you’re here. The essence of what you are about to read hearkens back to a line from one of Leonard Cohen’s poems:

“There’s a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets in.”

My intention with Free is to shine a light through this crack and help prevent it from getting any wider — my attempt to share a homeopathic dose of healing, inspiration, gratitude, love, enchantment, and increased receptivity to the experience of what it means to be a soulful human being.

Each and every day we have a choice of what to pay attention to. We can focus on the darkness or we can focus on the light. We can retreat into our shells when difficult times come our way or we can stake our ground in a higher, more timeless realm.

My poetry is all about opening up to this higher ground — what it means to experience the divine in daily life.
