Allow me to cut to the chase: this is a brilliant book! It is deep, empowering, soulful and very human — making perfect sense of something none of us want to deal with — our own mortality.

The more I read Good to Go, the slower I read, wanting Dr. Horton’s wise words and the feeling behind those wise words to percolate deeper into me.

It is often said that there is no instruction book for life, but after reading Good to Go, I think there is an instruction book for death — and this is it — not in a clinical way, but in a heartfelt way, a way that makes it easier for us to learn what we already know but may have forgotten along the often rocky road of life.

“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.” – Mark Twain

Death for most of us is synonymous with fear. None of us want to die. For most of us, death is the enemy.
