Let’s Hear It for Our Elders!

Giving voice to the reclaiming my Jewish roots

Yes, I was born Jewish. Yes, I read a portion of the Torah at my Bar Mitzvah. And yes, I ate a lot of bagels and lox growing up. But at 18, I turned to the East for spiritual sustenance. Now, many years later, I am rediscovering my Jewish roots and have even been designated as the “Poet in Residence” by the fabulous Rabbi Zoe B. Zak at my local temple.

Here’s a song I wrote a few days ago in honor of my Jewish heritage and the path we are all walking towards joy, love, gratitude, wisdom and presence.

To life!
