Welcome to Your Second Act!
The Time of Life When You Stand at the Crossroads
All human beings go through changes. That’s what we do. It is our nature. We evolve, we shift and go through transitions. Full of life as we are, nothing stays the same. The forms we identify with, the chapters of our life, what we do and how we do it continually morph.
Sometimes, these changes are referred to as “rites of passage” — correlating with meaningful transitions in our life, i.e. birth, the first day of school, falling in love, puberty, graduation, leaving home, the search for the meaning, marriage, career, divorce, retirement and, eventually, death.
The seasons change. The moon has its phases. And so do we.
If you are at a time of your life when change is upon you — no matter how exciting or challenging — it is likely accompanied by a wide range of emotions, some of which are difficult to navigate on your own: doubt, worry, confusion, anxiety, loneliness, procrastination and fear.
For some of us, one of the most challenging times of life is known as the “Second Act” or, in some circles, the “Third Act.”
This is a time of life where the “old” is in the rear view mirror and the “new” has not yet completely manifested.
